Biography

    Ryan T. Carey is an eclectic guitarist and composer from Upstate New York who has studied many styles of the guitar.

    Ryan specializes in and continues to study the complex arts of Flamenco, Jazz and Classical guitar. Mr. Carey has studied the guitar for over 15 years and has had private instruction from students of world renowned Flamenco Guitarist Diego Del Gastor and World renowned Classical Guitarist Andréa Segovia.

    Mr. Carey continues to create a synthesis of old and new musical forms. He draws power from Flamenco and the World Beat to deliver music that often reflects the Fierceness of a Matador while maintaining the soothing warmth of a tropical Island.


Accomplishments:

  • Opened for world renowned acts, such as Al DiMeola

  • Played at the Modern Master's Exhibition: From Corot to Kandinsky Exhibition Preview Party among works by Renoir, Picasso, Chagall.

  • Set the Mediterranean and Spanish mood at Everson Museum of Arts Picasso Ceramics exhibition opening.

  • Other performances include: Eastman's Killborn Hall, Nazareth College (spanish Fest), Corn Hill Festival, private parties for: Wegmans Food Corporation, Nathnagle Real-estate, Frontier Phone Company and Nixon Peabody Law firm, Club Le Jazz Hot, Brio Bistro, Pomodoro, Moon Beans Coffee shop, Thali of India, Tandoor of India, Juniper Beans Coffee, Desert Skies Coffee, JB Quimby's (Cinco De Mayo) and many more.

  • Featured artist on Jack Edward Smith's album Mundo Fantasia.
